Brush Twice a Day
Brushing your teeth twice a day is the best way to maintain your oral health.
A study conducted by Dr. Louis Cohen and his team found that if you brush your teeth at least twice a day, you only have a 4% chance of getting cavities. Now, this doesn’t mean that brushing will prevent all cavities, but it definitely helps!
Why make Brushing a Habit?
The goal with brushing is to remove plaque, which is the sticky buildup of bacteria on the teeth. This bacteria can cause tooth decay and lead to other problems like cavities, gum disease, and bad breath. The first step in brushing is to wet your toothbrush and then apply toothpaste on the bristles. Brush for 2 minutes, making sure to brush all of the surfaces of each tooth- from the front where we usually brush, to the back and chewing surfaces too.
